Greetings everyone! My name is Cassiopeia, a soon to be Eagle Scout from troop 901. As I enter my Senior year in high school, I reflect back on my exciting journey in scouting since elementary school. Throughout my scouting career I have learned various invaluable life skills such as organization and adaptability. Scouting has also helped to widen my experiences in leadership. My experiences in scouting have been very formative in my life, and I could not imagine being the woman I currently am without scouting. However, in these turbulent waters not everyone receives the chance or opportunities I have been afforded.
EDGE NJ serves people living with HIV, as well as those in the LGBTQ+ community. They provide public health services, housing opportunities, mental health and education. EDGE NJ is the charity I am assisting with my Eagle Scout project. The resources they use to provide all their services are kept in a small, disorganized storage room. I will be upgrading and almost doubling the capacity of that room by adding an archival rolling shelving system, as well as making every item easier to find.
Excess funds will be donated directly to EDGE New Jersey at the completion of the project.
