On October 30th, our lives completely flipped upside down. My niece, Cassandra Thomas, suffered a medical emergency that heartbreakingly took her and her newborn son’s life. She now leaves behind her mother, her sisters, her grandparents, myself and most importantly, her 2 children. Her children will now face a life without their mother.
