Hi My name is Joyce Czerenda and I have started a go fund me for my daughter Casie. Casie has a condition called idiopathic intracranial hypertension or pseudo tumor cerebri. She was diagnosed originally in 2017, it is a condition where her body makes too much cerebral spinal fluid/can’t drain the fluid and she ends up with too much fluid on her brain. Essentially her body thinks she has a brain tumor but she does not. This is an idiopathic condition which means doctors aren’t sure what causes the condition which makes it really hard to treat. Casie is currently on medication to try and slow the production of the fluid and have her body urinate out the extra but the medication isn’t working this time. Casie has also had 8 spinal taps to drain the fluid.

Casie also has been battling severe endometriosis/adenomyosis and had major surgery in December 2023. After that she needed 3 more gynecological procedures

Casie has been working hard in Grad school to get her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree so she can leave the hospital because the 12 hour shifts are too hard on her body with her chronic conditions.

Casie has been working per diem while working on getting her degree, which does not have the same disability benefits as a full time employee.

Through all this Casie has accrued lots of medical bill, to be added to everyday bills, such as rent, food, and utilities.

Casie is graduating this Friday, May 10 with a degree of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She was looking forward to going to her graduation, but is unable to go due to the intense headaches and the amount of fluid in her head at this time.

Casie always wanted to be a nurse, and has worked very hard to achieve her level of education. She is a very caring, kind, person who is always there to help anyone in need.

As her mom, I wanted to start this go fund me for her. Any little bit will help her get through this difficult time. I am truly great full if you can help. Thank you
