Help Casie & Anthony Start Their Family

For the past 4½ years, my daughter Casie and her partner Anthony have been on a long and emotional journey to grow their family. Like so many couples, they’ve dreamed of becoming parents — but the road has been incredibly difficult.

In April 2023, Casie suffered an ectopic pregnancy that tragically ended in the loss of both their baby and one of her fallopian tubes, greatly reducing her chances of conceiving naturally. After a year of recovery and countless doctor visits and tests, she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) — a condition that prevents her from ovulating regularly. Without medical help, her chances of becoming pregnant are nearly zero.

Doctors started Casie on Letrozole, a medication designed to help her release eggs. She went through eight rounds of treatment with strength and hope, but unfortunately, it didn’t result in a pregnancy. Because of the toll on her body, she can no longer take the medication safely.

Now, IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is their only option to have a baby of their own. Casie and Anthony will begin the process with a fertility clinic in Colorado Springs, where treatment costs are more affordable than in Idaho. They’ll meet with their doctor in November and hope to begin medications in January, do an egg retrieval in March, and start embryo transfers in May.

Casie has always dreamed of being a mom. She has the biggest heart and so much love to give. Anyone who knows her knows how wonderful she is with children — she pours her heart into caring for and supporting the kids she works with every day. Watching her love and guide those children only deepens how much she deserves to experience motherhood herself.

The estimated costs are overwhelming:

IVF treatments, medications, and procedures: $16,000

Travel expenses (flights, hotels, car rentals, etc.): $5,000

Total estimated cost: $21,000

This does not include additional local monitoring, bloodwork, and ultrasounds that will also need to be paid out of pocket. Unfortunately, their insurance provides no fertility coverage, and they’ve already spent thousands over the past year on tests and appointments trying to make their dream a reality.

Casie and Anthony are both working over 55 hours a week to save and pay off medical debt as it comes in, but they can’t do this alone. As a mom, it’s hard to watch your child go through so much heartbreak and still keep showing up with so much determination and hope.

If you can help in any way — through donations or simply by sharing their story — it would mean the world to our family. Every bit brings them closer to the chance of becoming parents and finally holding the baby they’ve been dreaming of for years.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, love, and support.

— Tiffany (Casie’s Mom)
