My 14-year-old son Case recently experienced the unimaginable loss of his father, Michael.
While we navigate this devastating time together, Case has found solace and emotional healing on the soccer field. The structure, physical activity, and team camaraderie have become essential lifelines for him during his grief journey.
Soccer has been Case's passion since he was just 3 years old. Over the past 11 years, he's developed into an exceptional goalie, even playing for a year in Mexico where he gained valuable experience and skills. The sport has always been important to him, but now it's become more than just a game—it's his safe space where he can process his feelings, build resilience, and momentarily escape the weight of his loss. His coaches and teammates have become an extended support system, providing stability when everything else feels uncertain.
Unfortunately, the costs associated with keeping Case in competitive soccer have become increasingly difficult for our single-income household to manage. The upcoming season requires approximately $2,400 for registration fees, with additional costs for travel fees.
As a single parent now solely responsible for our family's finances, I'm reaching out for help to ensure Case can continue with the sport that's helping him heal.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will directly support:
Seasonal registration fees ($2,400 for the year)
Specialized goalie equipment and uniform
Tournament participation costs
Travel expenses for away games
By helping Case stay connected to soccer, you're providing him with vital emotional support during this challenging time. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference as he learns to navigate life without his dad.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for considering our story and for any support you can offer.
With gratitude,
Brandy
