Hi everyone!

My name is Carter Arenz, and I’m a pre-med student passionate about helping others through medicine. This winter (Jan 3-11, 2026), I’ll be traveling to Lima, Peru with MEDLIFE, a nonprofit that partners with low-income communities to improve access to healthcare, education, and safe housing.

During this medical mission trip, I’ll work alongside local doctors and other volunteers to provide free medical care and health education to families who have little or no access to these essential services. This experience will give me invaluable hands-on experience working with patients in an underserved area, something I know will shape the kind of physician I become.

I’m raising $3,500 to cover:

✈️ Airfare and travel costs

Lodging and meals

Ground transportation in Lima

Program and supply fees for the clinics

I'm currently a full-time student at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, and I work part-time at Mercy Hospital as a care companion; however, I won't be able to raise all the funds needed for this trip in time.
