UPDATE: One final push for Carson's fundraiser. He is going back to work on August 25 and they have found a vendor for his scooter. It is located in Canada so additional funds to cover the tariffs will be needed. If you haven't given already, please consider giving, any amount is helpful.
Many of the community members know Carson Grover from his job at McDonald's where he decorates his drive-thru window with his treasured toy collection. He was also a former student at Homestead High School and went to school with my daughter.
I am helping the Grover family raise funds to help their son, Carson, who you may have heard was injured a few weeks ago while riding his ebike. Thank the Lord he was wearing his helmet and he is on the mend and anxious to get back to work.
I have spoken with Carson's father about helping the family to raise funds so that Carson can get back to work at McDonald's and gain some of his independence back, but safely. Rather than another ebike for Carson the idea has been discussed about getting an enclosed all-season mobility scooter similar to the one we have seen from a neighboring Kroger employee.
If you could find it in your heart to help Carson please consider donating to this fundraiser. Helping him gain his independence back will mean the world to him.
