Support Carol's Fight for Her Family

Donation protected
I am sure as most you know Carol has had a few rough years, but it goes much deeper than that…

Carol works at an elementary school,
She volunteers for 2 overflowing crochet clubs at the school.
She has 5 kids 13, 12, 11, 11, 8.

The 13 yo and the oldest 11yo are adopted biological siblings. They have tremendously traumatic pasts and need a lot of help. The 13yo cannot live in a family/home setting because of behavior problems so he lived with her exhusband until sept of 2022 when his life tragically ended. The 13 yo moved back home and let’s just say this has been the hardest year and half on the whole family!

The 12 yo asked to move to his dads because his mental health couldnt take the outbursts from the 13yo and was in fear of his life. As hard as this was for Carol she agreed. Now, The 12yo is being held with coercion and alienation. Around Christmas he cried and begged to come home, Carol immediately reached out to his dad to ask to have a meeting so they could talk, now she hasn’t seen him in over 6 months, and he’s convinced of many lies that are being told. This is really weighing heavily on the other 11yo and all the siblings who also have not seen their brother. The courts are her only recourse as the police won’t step in on this co-parenting/co-visitation order. She hired a lawyer to begin the legal process just to see her child!

Last fall, After too many physical encounters including putting the 8yo in a choke hold numerous times, the police were called and the 13yo was admitted to residential treatment as a result of violent outburst towards the mother and siblings. It took months of carol being badgered, threatened, and belittled by DHS to even get her son help. After many many many phone calls crying and begging for help and multiple reports from school officials, police, neighbors, all saying “she needs help” they finally told her. NO!!!! So when he was admitted she stood her ground and got him to a place where he could get help, however, now Carol has to endlessly stand up to dramatic defamatory evaluations and potent legal threats from Child protective services to keep her children safe.

The 11 yo still has reoccurring night terrors focusing on the 13yo killing all of the family members, yet he has not lived in the home for 9 months.
The kids have cried to DHS, neighbors, myself and Carol asking to let him stay somewhere else “we love him, but we are scared for our lives with him here.”

Legal representation has been required in both instances. To defend her home and livelihood and to have a life with the 12yo in which carol is being illegally alienated from.
Carol has been paying for 1 lawyer for 8 months and a 2nd lawyer for 3 months. Not to mention a CFI. She needs help to get her family the help and the home they all deserve. Without it carol could be fighting these cases without attorneys, and with court coming up for one of them:stress is real.
We have exhausted all avenues and it’s really wearing on her and the kids.
