Support Caroline and Shawn rebuild after losing everything

Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I am Caroline’s youngest daughter. I opened this GoFundMe to raise money for my Mom and Shawn.

Today, I am reaching out to family, friends and kind-hearted strangers, on their behalf with a humble request for prayers and financial assistance during these hard times for them as they find the strength to rebuild their future. This has been an incredibly tough time for them. Things will be quite rough for the foreseeable future, and it would be amazing if they didn’t have so much to worry about, financially. They are an incredibly kind, and caring couple always willing to help others. Now it’s our turn

to help them. By supporting them, individuals can show their solidarity and love.

Mom was told in March 2019 she had a neurological illness that has no cure and would prevent her from ever working again. Shawn dedicated his life to the trucking world for over 30 years, which has taken a toll on his body. He worked all through the pandemic staying strong for both of them and then he had an accident that changed their lives physically and financially, The truck was in the shop for many months which was financially draining as they owned their own company. They lost everything, Home, Transport Truck and Pickup Truck. Shawn had to have surgery in August of 2024 on his right shoulder which he is still recovering from. He is also preparing to have surgery on his left shoulder.

They have received generous help from the community in which they are living in but unfortunately they have to move again and they want to find a place where they can live long term. Living in this economy they cannot live on Mom’s pension alone. I hope this fundraiser will help ensure Shawn does not have to worry about finances in the coming weeks and months as he prepares and recovers from his surgeries.
