My good friend, Carmen Wingo, was recently diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer—an aggressive and rare form of breast cancer that requires immediate and intensive treatment. The diagnosis came as a devastating blow to all of us who love her, but true to her spirit, Carmen has faced it with incredible strength, courage, and determination.

Carmen is a devoted mother to five beautiful children. Her kids are her world, and they are the reason she keeps fighting—despite every painful obstacle that has come her way. She immediately began chemotherapy, prepared to do everything she could to beat this disease. But the journey has been anything but easy.

Her body has reacted severely to the chemotherapy drugs, triggering intense allergic reactions that have made the treatments even more grueling. What’s meant to heal her has also caused unimaginable pain. She’s lost her hair, her strength has been deeply tested, and the physical and emotional toll has been overwhelming. Yet, despite it all, Carmen keeps going. She continues to show up to every treatment, driven by her love for her children and her will to survive.

Carmen has always been the kind of person who lifts up everyone around her. Even now, in her hardest moments, she still finds ways to check in on her loved ones. But now she needs us.
