This Saturday, we’re bringing back Grocery Gifts for a one-time food distribution to support Carlsbad school families who are struggling to put food on the table this month. We’ll be providing free, fresh produce and dairy essentials — milk, cheese, butter, eggs, and bread — to help ease the burden.
Grocery Gifts is a volunteer-run effort funded entirely by donations from families who care about other school families and want to help. We know how hard this month has been for many, and we’re here to help — just as we were before.
From March 2020 through August 2021, Grocery Gifts operated weekly during the COVID shutdown, serving over 100 families each week and peaking at 266 families (571 students) in a single week. It was truly families helping families — and we’re honored to carry that spirit forward again.
If you’re able to give, $38 provides groceries for one family — including a large box of fresh produce, a gallon of milk, a dozen eggs, a loaf of bread, and a pound each of cheddar cheese and butter.
We’re preparing for 150 families this week, and every dollar will go directly toward these essential items.
Your generosity makes a real difference. Thank you for showing love, care, and compassion for our neighbors in need.
