Support Carlos & Leslie's Baby Girl Adoption

Dear Family and Friends,
We are overjoyed to announce our first baby girl and we are in the process of an expedited adoption process! That being said she is scheduled to be born between 6th - 9th of April leaving us with about 3 weeks of preparation of not only our interviews/inspections but also the legal documentation that goes along with that we are responsible to pay all the fees.
To help expedite the process we will have to pay an expedited fee, along with the lawyer fees, home study (social worker, inspection, court documents, parent evaluations, training, etc.), our physicals, we also have to pay for the birth moms legal representation and counseling. All these legal and court fees add up and we were not expecting this right now, but we know that this is a blessing from God to our family and we know that God will provide.
My wife and I have two beautiful children , even though I am their stepdad I've adored them the moment they were part of my life. As my wife and I had every intention to add an additional bundle of joy of our own, we were faced with the disheartening fact she will no longer be able to conceive a child of our own. After all the failed tests and options we have tried we were truly brokenhearted. As we were to face this reality our faith helped overcome this. Remaining strong, firm and steadfast for our Lord has plans to prosper us, not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future.
Three years since then we have considered adoption but we never knew when the right time would be. Our commitment to keeping God centered, raising our sons, and helping others through the opportunities our church has made an impact to us but also the families around us. We really didn't expect this week to be so surprising. We were contacted from a long time friend informing us her friend are looking for parents. She has not only informed us her baby will be a baby girl but will also be born in April, we had butterflies in our stomach.
After meeting the mom, who shared her experience with us and also the reason she is unable to care for the baby. We shared ourselves to her as well and took that moment to speak words of life to her, seasoned with salt. We didn't want to assume at the end of our meeting we would be would be chosen. So we asked her we'd give her a few days to let us know if we would be a good fit. Before we said another word she told us that yes, we are the best fit and the baby to be part of our family. That day was an emotional one as it has been for us each day after that.
We feel deep in our hearts this is the promise from God we have been waiting for. My wife and I have continued to pray for another child, now here we are scrabbling but with complete joy in our hearts. I've come to learn many years past that God does answer our prayers not on how we want it but on how we need it for a greater purpose. And in a time with so much fear and doubt in the world, we are not only blessed but also saving a life of a child to help provide a future for.
We want to thank our church family who has been so quick to our rescue providing us all their recommendations to just get this far.
All of the donations you so generously give will be towards this process as we work hard on our part to raise additional funds so we can ensure our baby girl is properly protected and ensuring we are confirmed as her legal parents.
'but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."' - Matthew 19:14
