Hi, I'm Meghan. When I first created this fundraiser, I was trying to build a bridge between two chapters of life: creating greater stability and support for my dad, Don, after his stroke and after my mom passed on in 2025, while finding a sustainable way for me to eventually step out of being his primary caregiver and rebuild a livelihood and life of my own.

Thanks to the generosity of so many people, more than $7,000 has already been raised. That support has helped us through caregiving, home needs, transportation expenses, and the many moving pieces involved in creating a more sustainable future.

Now, I have reached one of the most important—and financially vulnerable—points of that transition.

I am actively searching for a live-in caregiver who can provide my dad with consistent support while allowing me to step away from being his primary caregiver. But once that happens, my only current source of stable income will disappear.

At the same time, I am actively applying for remote work and beginning to build my own intuitive practice, offering Human Design and developing services centered around inner coherence, intuitive guidance, animal communication, and deeper connection with the natural world.

Then, over the past few weeks, nearly $5,800 in unexpected expenses hit all at once: approximately $3,500 in car repairs and servicing and another $2,300 for my RV. I literally and wholeheartedly cannot afford this hit, and I am now in debt.

My car is essential for everyday life and transportation. My RV is also an important part of the future I am building—a home on wheels that can support a more mobile, remotely based life and allow me to expand the reach of my work.

I am also preparing for my long-planned animal communication trip to Indonesia this November. I still need to purchase travel insurance and my visa, along with covering remaining travel needs. If enough support comes in beyond the essentials, I would also love to purchase a waterproof camera so I can document the extraordinary marine life and landscapes I encounter—not only for my own memories, but to share this experience and inspire deeper connection with the natural world.

At this stage, I am hoping to raise approximately $10,000 more.

This support would help me absorb the recent vehicle expenses, prepare for Indonesia, maintain basic living costs while I transition away from caregiving income, and give me enough breathing room to continue pursuing remote employment and building a sustainable livelihood of my own.

I am working hard to create what comes next. I am applying for jobs, beginning to charge for services I have spent years developing, continuing my training, and actively working toward sustainable care for my father.

But there is a very real financial gap between the life I am leaving and the one I am trying to build.

This fundraiser is the bridge across that gap.

When I first created this fundraiser in early March, my dad and I were in a very different place- navigating an intense season of caregiving, uncertainty, and major life change. In the week my mom passed away last year, my dad moved in with me, and overnight I became his primary caregiver. My entire life was put on pause.

He is living with stroke-related mobility and speech challenges, and suddenly we were trying to find our footing in a completely new reality.
