On September 7th, our community was shaken when a devastating fire tore through multiple beloved local businesses, Cape Tradin’ Post and Perky’s Coffee & Cream. What once stood as gathering places for locals and visitors alike is now reduced to ashes, leaving behind heartbreak, loss, and uncertainty for the families who poured their hearts into them.

Cape Tradin’ Post wasn’t just a store, it was a lifeline. From vacation essentials to fresh-cut meats, hot pizza, and cold drinks after a long beach day, it served as a hub where neighbors connected and visitors felt right at home. Perky’s, with its cheerful pelican mascot and sweet treats, became a favorite stop for families to make memories over ice cream cones and coffee. Together, these businesses weren’t just part of the Cape, they were part of our community’s identity.

Now, Tyler, Kyle, and their incredible teams are facing the unimaginable. In a matter of hours, they lost their businesses, their livelihoods, and the places they worked so hard to build. Yet through it all, they’ve remained selfless, supporting their staff, lifting up others, and continuing to embody the very spirit that makes this community so special.

This GoFundMe has been set up to support Tyler, Kyle, and their teams as they navigate the long road ahead. Funds will go directly toward helping them recover, support their staff, and begin the rebuilding process.
