Support Cam's Naturalization Journey
Donation protected
This month, Cam is taking a monumental step towards U.S. citizenship and doesn't want to pay the naturalization fee alone.
Since moving to Brooklyn in 2021, Cam has woven themselves into the fabric of it's community. From contributing their talents at renowned dance studio Cumbe to passionately volunteering with the Free Black Women’s Library and teaching STEAM programs with DIVAS for Social Justice, Cam has been a beacon of dedication and generosity.
Many of you are aware of the tumultuous journey Cam has faced. Before Brooklyn embraced them, she endured profound challenges, including a painful experience of medical malpractice that led them to battle the U.S. government for justice. Those years were grueling, particularly as she juggled the pressures of grad school, familial responsibilities and just existing in late stage capitlaism. Yet, it was in Brooklyn’s warm embrace that Cam found peace of mind and a true sense of belonging. In moments of hardship, our community extended its support and love.
This fall, Cam’s journey reaches a new milestone with their application for naturalization. She’s shown incredible resilience. Your support will not only help cover the naturalization fee but also celebrate the commitment and contributions Cam has made to our community.
Let’s rally together to support Cam’s naturalization fee. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
Thank you for being part of this important moment!
