Support Camp Turner Alumni Pioneer Work Weekend

My Dear Friends,

This May 29th through June 1st Camp Turner has scheduled its annual Pioneer Work/Service Weekend. In preparation for that weekend, we have created a preliminary list of supplies that are needed. It’s not clear that OLV will be in a position to assist much with the expenses associated with these supplies. A basic tally at this early point suggests that the costs of the supplies/equipment will be in the $3,500 - $4,500 range.

Bob Bowden, Dave Borkowski, Vince Nowak and I are spearheading a fundraising effort. The four of us are trying to generate funding that can be used to address the needs for this year’s Pioneer Work/Service Weekend. Surplus funds would be held for future Work/Service weekends in 2026 and beyond. Hopefully we would build a surplus with an eye toward creating a bit of a “bank” so that we can assist Camp Turner every spring.
