My name is Cameron Mitchell and upon recent events, I am raising both of my siblings, Markus (8) and Milli (13). Our mom is an addict and is having a difficult time getting clean. After many false promises and hopelessness she's provided, I've come to the sole decision to regain custody of my two siblings.

On top of this, our grandpa kicked us out because his son, our uncle, assaulted us. We reported him to the police and because of this, we were asked to leave. We were staying with a friend for 4 months since this happened, and recently were asked to leave as well due to it being too crowded. Now we are living in a hotel provided by CPS, but as that's temporary, we need a place to live and call home.

I'm attending college at MATC in the criminal justice field in hopes of becoming a police officer. I still have a year left, however, and am working on a server's salary. It's a great job and the people there are terrific, but it's still not enough to afford a place and move us into a safe and healthy environment. I also have a little puppy, Bruce, who just turned 1 in January. All of this is starting to take a toll on me mentally, but I refuse to give up and am pushing forward nonetheless to make our lives better.
