Help Bring Justice and Safety to Cameron Reeves
Every day inside Los Angeles County Jail is a battle for survival — a place known for overcrowding, violence, and gang-ridden conditions. For my son, Cameron Reeves, this environment is far harsher than any punishment his alleged conduct could ever warrant.
Cameron’s journey has been one of courage and rebuilding. After separating from his husband, he moved to California with nothing but determination and faith. Starting over alone, he worked hard to become successful in the dental field, eventually earning a position as an office manager — a role he took great pride in.
But the path wasn’t easy. During his transition, Cameron faced emotional and financial struggles that left him homeless for a time. In trying to manage the stress, he became dependent on Kratom, a legal but addictive herbal supplement often sold in smoke shops. With incredible willpower and support from loved ones, Cameron fought his way out of that addiction and was finally getting his life back on track — until everything changed.
Shortly after his recovery, Cameron was arrested following a misunderstanding with his employer over his final paycheck. In an attempt to resolve a pay dispute, he temporarily held onto two company laptops — never intending harm — until he received the pay he was owed. What began as a workplace disagreement was misinterpreted and escalated into serious legal charges.
When Cameron was arrested, officers confiscated his BMW SUV, which contained nearly all of his personal belongings. They searched for illegal items — which they did not find — other than the work laptops that were already being arranged for return. Everything he owned was taken from him in that moment.
Now, Cameron sits inside one of the most dangerous jail systems in the country, surrounded by chaos and fear, as his past from 15 years ago is being used against him once again. Those who know Cameron know that he is not a violent person. He is compassionate, hardworking, and deeply caring — someone who has helped others even when he had little himself.
Cameron takes responsibility for his part in this misunderstanding, but he deserves a fair and honest defense, not a system that assumes guilt or punishes beyond reason.
Why We Need Your Help
We are seeking to raise $25,000 to hire a skilled attorney willing to take on Cameron’s case and fight for his freedom. His bond is currently set at $250,000, which makes it impossible for us to bring him home while awaiting trial. These funds will go toward:
Legal representation and defense fees
Travel and lodging costs for me to get to California to handle his affairs and advocate for him
Basic necessities Cameron has lost while incarcerated
Every prayer, every share, and every donation — no matter the size — helps bring us one step closer to justice, safety, and hope.
From a Mother’s Heart
I understand that some people may not feel moved to contribute, and I respect that choice. But for those who believe in second chances, compassion, and fairness, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If you’d like to send letters of encouragement, please message me privately for the mailing or email information. Your words mean more than you know.

Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting Cameron through this difficult time. Together, we can bring justice, safety, and a second chance to someone who truly deserves it.
With gratitude,
Charmaine Reeves
