My name is Camelia Smicala. I am a grieved mother who cannot find her peace since my lovely children (Maria and Mihai— now age of 12 and 13) were violently taken away from me in 2015.
Here is my story: I was born in Romania and moved to Finland when I got married. The romantic fairy tale was soon over, as my husband became acting abusively towards me and the children. I was pregnant with Maria when he tried to kill me first time.
In 2015 the Finnish social services / authorities bumped into my house and dragged the children away from me under my horrified eyes. The reason? My ex husband lied that I would try to abduct kids into Romania. No proof needed. I fought to get my kids back and got them in December. After 6 months, the officials took again the children, with police, in front of the classroom, like the biggest criminals. The children were believed to have too strong of a bond with me!
I will never forget that moment when my babies were separated…abducted. It’s been 5 years. Years of endless legal trials, court filings, admin paperwork which cost me more than 200 000 euros. Years in which Maria and Mihai have grown up in social houses, separated from each other, separated from me. And the saddest part is that I have spent all these years away from Mihai and Maria, without having had the chance to be a mother for them, to care for them and to offer all my support.
But the nightmare is not over. In the middle of November my little girl, Maria was put into solitary confinement, because of unproven suspicions of the Finnish social services.. She is being put under psychiatric treatment. No one can see her, not even her lawyer. Worse than any criminal in Finland!
Dear Friends, first of all I ask for your prayers and support in going forward, fighting for my babies. Then, financially any help would be of great assistance. Legal trials are very expensive in Finland and since I am fighting to get my children back, my work place has reduced my working hours, I receive many bills which I cannot cover.
Therefore, the money that you will give will be vital in pursuing professional legal to get my children back.
