Support Calvin Steves: Norman's Beloved Paperboy

UPDATE! YES Calvin has his job back but that was only the first step.. I am helping do several things that he needs to do as a condition of hem returning to handing out newspapers. I wanna let everyone know that Calvin has an issue at his home that is affecting his health, hygiene as well as some furniture and some clothing of his. The issue requires both repairs and treatment of his home for the issue to be fixed. we are also going to work with the local community like Goodwill Restore, Pest control to get the things he needs replaced due to the repair and treament issues. The bill to fix anf treat the home is $1500.00 plus tax. We have also got to get a cleaner into cleanup after the issue and may need to clean the carpet then we will be take him to Goodwill and or Restore to replace a couple of peices of furniture and get a few threads and a new pair of shoes for him to walk around town in. I know that we are slightly over the $1500.00 but Gofundme will take their cut plus we need to use Gift Cards (which will cost a little to get) in order to get things because it can never be given to him as cash income due to SSDI. These fixes are what Calvin needs to return to distributing papers.

Due to the recent decision made by The Norman Transcript to end their relationship with Calvin Steves he is now unable to sell papers any longer as he has for decades to the locals of the Norman. Calvin has become an icon of Norman, delivering the Norman Transcript for over 50 years. We are currently not aware as to the reasoning behind The Norman Transcripts decision. The current loss of income will take quite the toll on him and I'm sure he is very stressed. For decades, so many of us have counted on Calvin to bring us our news and a smile each day.
