Hello, thank you for visiting this fundraising page in memory of Zane Martin (October 7, 1989-December 1, 2025) of Warren, RI. We're stricken with grief over the loss of a wonderful son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. Zane left behind countless memories and stories for us all to share, and he also left behind a one-year-old daughter, Callie, who lives with her mom in Bristol, RI.

We're fundraising not for funeral expenses but to start a memorial fund that will go directly to Callie to help cover current and future needs, like direct care expenses and necessities, or education and enrichment as she grows up.

We believe Zane did leave behind some assets for Callie, but much of it is in the form of welding and mechanic tools in his shop space - not much use to Callie yet, at her age. Any funds he had are undisclosed to us at this time, but Zane was committing everything he had to make sure his daughter would want for nothing and be raised well.

Anybody who knew Zane knows a couple of things about him. The first is that he was always looking for ways to help and support the people around him - family, friends, and strangers alike. He was never one to judge, but to rub a little bit of his salt in a wound out of love and playfulness, only when he knew you could take it. His gift for spreading laughter at difficult times was unmatched.

The second is that Zane was the happiest he had ever been when spending quality time bonding with Callie. He adopted a rough and tumble demeanor while working in the trades over the years, but he harbored a gentleness that really shined through in its entirety when he was with his baby girl.

This fundraiser isn't just our family asking for help in making sure Callie gets everything she needs and deserves. It's also a chance for us all to show each other how appreciated Zane was, to return some of the favors he did for each of us just by being in our lives, and to eventually show Callie how we all rally together for her, in Zane's honor. We're also working on a book of memories, which we can hopefully get enough of to compile an actual book, which we will gladly publish for everyone to enjoy, to give to Callie when she gets old enough (this may need to be in two versions, one for the younger child, one for when she's old enough, if you knew Zane...).
