Tarnaski faced an unimaginable tragedy-the sudden loss of their mother. Their world turned upside down as they moved from Norwalk, IA to Isanti, MN, to live with their dad, Robert, and our blended family.

As someone who never turns away from helping others, I have welcomed these boys into my heart and home. My kids and I are grateful to have them with us, even though it's under such heartbreaking circumstances.

However, we are struggling to make ends meet.

Robert's truck transmission failed, making it difficult for him to get to his construction job. Our BMx family has been incredible, providing beds and clothes, but we still have a long way to go.

Everything the boys had from their mom's home fit into the back of my SUV, leaving us with very little to start with.
