I am Kathleen Perry, mother of Caitlyn Landers.
Caitlyn has lived in Virginia for 12 years where she met the love of her life! She had been with Rocky Ryan for those 12 years with their two sons, Brayden, 15, and Jases, 11. Caitlyn was a stay-at-home mom as her youngest, Jases, has severe autism.
Their life at times was difficult, but the love they had for each other was like no other! Despite how hard life was at times, the support for each other pulled them through.
Often, Caitlyn would tell me how much she loved him and could never imagine her life without him.
Rocky Ryan was such a kind soul, with a heart of gold. We would often talk on the phone and although I never met Rocky, I became close to him and grew to love him! He was an amazing partner and father. He worked as a logger, and many times had a two-hour ride for work.
On February 18th, he left for work and when he got to the job, he called Caitlyn at 8:14 am. He told her how much he loved her, and for some reason, he missed her more and was so happy to be coming home to his favorite dinner. At 8:15, Rocky fell to the ground with the phone still in his hand and instantly passed away, believed to have had a cardiac event. Rocky was only 42.
Caitlyn and Brayden are so lost and heartbroken. Jases doesn’t understand why his father is not coming home, as he watches for his father out the window, waiting for his father.
Caitlyn is planning on moving back to Massachusetts, hopefully sometime in April.
Any donations would be so helpful to cover the cost of moving 14 hours away, which will be very costly.
Without Rocky, she has no reason to stay in Virginia as all her family is here in New England. Once again, any donations would be so appreciated.
