From Kabul, Afghanistan To Cabool, Missouri

After serving 26 years in the Army with four combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, retired U.S. Army Infantry veteran Chris Owen, is now leading an effort to bring a transformative project to his hometown of Cabool, Missouri. Working with local leaders, the YMCA, and state officials, he has secured $2 million in state funding toward building a 27,600-square-foot community center YMCA that will serve residents of all ages. Through the nonprofit Cabool Community Center, Inc., the campaign is now seeking additional support from individuals, businesses, and organizations to raise the remaining funds needed to bring this vital community hub to life.
