This August, I’ll be taking on a triathlon to raise money for the Memorial Hospital Oncology Department. It includes a 1-mile swim across Echo Lake, a 52-mile bike ride through Crawford Notch, and a 5.2-mile hike up Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast.
I volunteer in the Oncology Department and have seen just a fraction of what patients and their families go through. I’ve also seen the compassion, dedication, and strength of the doctors, nurses, and staff who care for them every day.
These patients face some of the hardest days of their lives and still come into the hospital every day with smiles on their faces. This triathlon is my way of honoring that strength and showing them they’re not alone in the fight. I hope this effort brings our community together in support of these incredible individuals and reminds them that we are standing with them.
Every dollar raised will go directly to the Oncology Department to help support patients facing treatment and the team that stands beside them.
Thank you for reading and for any support you can give!
With gratitude and grit,
Bryce Terry
