Update!
Thanks to your generous donations we have now distributed $92,871 dollars to 55 families in the Bryant Neighborhood! In addition, we are sending out another $8,200 later this week to an additional 6 families! We are so grateful for everyone who has donated and wish we could hug you all. The way this money has literally changed peoples lives is astounding and we just can't thank you enough! We are still finding new families in need so we hope that we can raise enough funds to help our neighbors with April rent. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
The Bryant Neighbors
This fundraiser is organized by a group of neighbors, community organizers, and friends to help with housing payments for the neighbors in the Bryant neighborhood.
We are a group of neighbors working to keep our community housed.
Neighbors will complete a form, stating their need. Funds will be dispensed as available.
The current administration’s attack on our community has made multiple hard working families afraid to leave their homes. These families are sheltering in place and cannot work to provide for themselves at this time.
This is an urgent need as the first of the month is approaching very quickly. As the occupation continues in our city, the number of people who will need help will continue to grow.
The funds used for this campaign will go directly to the families impacted. For safety and privacy, any private information about the residents who will be receiving these funds will be kept anonymous. We believe in transparency and accountability. We have created a way to safely show where the funds are going internal to the neighborhood, but we may not be able to risk the safety or privacy of our neighbors by sharing this information widely. We are responding individually to your questions, so please reach out with any!
Community is the back bone of mutual aid and the reason we keep choosing to live in Minneapolis. We are asking for you to be apart of our community by donating funds and supporting our neighbors.
If you have questions about how the funding is being determined or our accountability and transparency practices, please reach out directly.
