This is what’s left of Bruce Perry’s home of 30 years.

Bruce is 84 years old, a Vietnam veteran, and has called Alta home since 1986. Last night his trailer burned to the ground. He wasn’t home — he was out picking up groceries and dinner for his daughter Mollie’s boys, the grandkids he helps care for while she’s working behind the bar taking care of all of us.

Nothing was insured. He lost everything.

Bruce is one of the quietest, kindest, most selfless people in this community. He never asks for anything. He just shows up — for Mollie, for those boys, for whoever needs him.

Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
