Hello Neighbors,
You may have noticed that our neighborhood entrance sign "Brookstone Estates" has fallen. This sign is composed of wood and PVC and was crafted 21 years ago by a resident of the subdivision who is now deceased. Since we do not have a Homeowner's Association (HOA), replacing the sign will be a community effort as it was 21 years ago when a former neighborhood resident came around asking for donations.
I have gotten multiple quotes to replace our sign ranging in price from $1500 to $7100. The less expensive option is composed of aluminum and vinyl and gives a sign life-expectancy of only 3-5 years. The gold standard for subdivision signs is a sign composed of high-density urethane (HDU) which lasts approximately 30 years. After comparing all the quotes, materials, and sign life expectancy, A Sign Group in Tyrone GA can craft a new 3-D sign composed of HDU and install it for $4900. If every household would give $50, we can secure the permit, replace our current sign and clean up the surrounding monument by the end of October 2024.
I've been told that "community efforts" will not work and one sign company owner actually laughed in disbelief that we would succeed in raising the money to replace our sign. We can do this! Let's prove him wrong! Let's show that we care about our neighborhood, our property values and can work together to accomplish a much-needed task! I'm looking forward to working with you and seeing what a community effort can do when we behold our brand-new sign!
Thank you in advance. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions.
