Hi, my name is Brooke Priser and I am a SURVIVOR!

Over the last 4 years, I can truly say I've been the absolute worst version of myself, but it's also brought me to now, 2/4/2026, where I'm becoming the best version of myself. As most of my family and friends know, I am a mom of 3 amazing kids and have finally started my journey on getting my bachelor's in criminal justice and law enforcement.

Now here comes the heavy part of the post. 4 years ago, at 12:07 am, I was an Uber driver just trying to make extra money for our young family. I had been doing Uber driving for ONE WEEK. I got to my last rider of the night, and he was going to a bar. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the bar was closed and had been for 6 months. The rider, WALTER ALEXANDER MARTINEZ, a El Salvador native who was a resident in California visiting his family in Marietta/Acworth, asked that he be returned to the address he came from. I agreed and took him back and NOTIFIED UBER that I still had a passenger in my car and needed to return him to his family's home as he was not sober and needed to be dropped off safely. At the time, I thought I was doing what any 'decent' person would do. He didn't seem like a person that was 'bad' or someone capable of the things he did.

At 12:07 am, I got beaten and dragged to the back of my car and was BRUTALLY RAPED by WALTER ALEXANDER MARTINEZ. From 12:07 am to 12:47 am, I went in and out of consciousness while he brutally raped me both vaginally and anally. He has been in jail with no bond for 4 years now, but yet we have never faced a trial. Cobb County is failing their victims. Cobb County cannot keep a prosecutor in office. I am now on my FOURTH PROSECUTOR IN FOUR YEARS!!! Let that sink in. I wake up every day with the weight of the world on my shoulders. I wake up with the same feeling of if Cobb County allows my case, which is explicit and they have all the evidence in THEIR hands, how many other cases has Cobb County and the state of Georgia allowed to just slip through the system? My case is the LONGEST standing case on Cobb County's calendar. I have stayed so quiet over the last 4 years about this. But enough is enough. Cobb County and the state of Georgia need to provide ANSWERS.

While Uber found fault in failure to protect their drivers (me) and not providing the proper safety measures to keep us safe, WALTER ALEXANDER MARTINEZ has not been held liable for taking so much away from me. Walter took away so much from me. My children went YEARS without having a mom that was mentally in the right space. My children watched me slowly fall apart day by day all because of WALTER ALEXANDER MARTINEZ. Walter took away the ability for me to be a mom again. Walter took away the ability of me to just be a 'normal' person. My entire life has been altered in ways I didn't know was possible. I've lost friends, family, and so much more because of this.

While I hurt daily and I want answers, I am asking that my family and friends get my story out there so I can raise funds for a private attorney to help get answers on Cobb County and the state of Georgia with their lack of urgency in the matter. I will continue to reach out to Cobb County for answers. I will continue to let my voice be heard, but what I will no longer allow is Cobb County to tell me I have to be quiet about what happened. As a victim, I will NOT be silenced any longer. The best way to get my story out is to share it. Please, I am asking anyone to share this post and tag anyone you know that could potentially help in this case.
