Hello, my name is Melissa Wiedemann and I wanted to take a moment to reach out on behalf of the beautiful family of my cousin Joshua Wiedemann.
Monday, July 21st 2025 Josh passed unexpectedly and left behind the two biggest loves of his life. Brooke and Gavin (Brooke was the love of his life, and they've been together since 2005 and Gavin his only son, who was born in 2010).
I cannot imagine the pain of losing their partner, their best friend and their father.
Josh was an absolute inspiration to everyone around him. He was courageous, spontaneous, adventurous, hardworking, incredibly artistic, outgoing, and always wanted to lend a helping hand to anyone he could. His family included more than just blood, and he cared deeply for every single person in his life. He was always there to support everyone. He loved people for their authentic selves. His smile and laughter were contagious. He protected his loved ones and offered a place of safety and security. He truly changed the lives of everyone who knew him, and will forever be missed and loved dearly by an incredible amount of people. He will live on forever through a lifetimes of memories we all have of him.
He inspired me as far back as I can remember, and life will never be the same without him here with us.
So, I ask in this massive time of sadness... for any help possible for his family in their time of grievence. All proceeds to this GoFundMe would go 100% to Brooke and Gavin. To help them through this difficult time, and allow them all the time they need to navigate through such a heartbreaking period in their lives.
Anything at all would help, whether its a couple bucks or even just a share and I know I speak not only for myself, but for the entire family and all his friends when I say, we appreciate all of your love, kindness, support and prayers.
Remember.. stay kind, help whenever and whoever you can, enjoy the little things and live every day to the fullest, spreading a smile and love along the way.
That's what Josh would want of all of us.
