The GLUE to our beloved family

Help Us Honor Our Dad & Keep Our Mom in Their Home

On March 31, 2025, our dad was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer in both lungs. From that moment, everything changed. Our mom, who is in the early stages of dementia, relied on him for so much—and we’ve been doing our best to support both of them through an incredibly difficult time.

Just a month later, on May 1, we had to rush Dad to the hospital. His left lung had collapsed, and the cancer had spread to his heart, pancreas, and liver. It even affected his voice, making it difficult for him to speak. In the days that followed, he suffered two serious falls—one of which put him in a coma.

When he woke up on May 11, he had no memory of the previous week and was in constant pain, with blurred and double vision. Despite his strength, his health continued to decline, and on May 22, 2025, our dad passed away. We are heartbroken.

We’re now planning a Celebration of Life on July 4, 2025—a day that perfectly reflects who he was: someone who loved good food, family, friends, fireworks, warm summer nights, and bonfires.

We’re raising funds to help with:
    •    A beautiful urn so our mom can keep him close
    •    Contributions toward the Celebration of Life
    •    Helping our mom remain in the home they shared, surrounded by the memories they built together

Our goal is to raise $115,000.

To put that in perspective:
    •    2,300 people donating $50 each would get us there
    •    658 people donating $175 would also cover it

Seeing the numbers helps make the need real—and reminds us that if enough people come together, we can make this happen.

Any help in easing the remaining financial burden would be a true blessing for our family.
Our dad’s last wish was for us to do everything we could to keep Mom in their home. We’re doing this for him—and for her.

If you’re able to donate or even just share this page, it would mean the world to us. Every little bit helps, and we’re deeply grateful for the love and support during this time.

Lastly, I can’t stress the importance of people getting a whole life insurance policy, that does not have an expiration date. If mom and dad would have had a life insurance policy, we would not be asking for this kind of money. Get one before it’s too late. Make sure it’s enough to cover all final bills and funeral arrangements.

With love, gratitude, and many thanks,
The Brock Family
