Hello, my name is Brittni. I live in New Jersey and have been in a hotel for a year and a half. I have one son named Landon; he's 14. And I have a dog and a cat.

I'm doing this GoFundMe because last year I lost my mom, and GoFundMe really helped me with my funeral expenses. I got $500 to put towards her funeral, and that meant everything to me. I do work, but unfortunately, the hotel takes almost my whole paycheck for the week, so it is very hard to save here, especially doing everything alone. I'm in so much debt now... that's beside the point.

My birthday is Wednesday the 28th, and I'm just praying for a miracle. I'm trying to raise enough money for a security deposit and first month's rent for an apartment. We are in one room, and it's just not enough. I have no room to move around, nowhere to cook, and I have to Lyft to the laundromat every time I need to do laundry. It's just costing so much to be here when I could be paying the same amount in an apartment.

I Lyft because I haven't been able to put the car I have on the road. We do have a vehicle that I still owe $850 on, and I need to pay some surcharges to get my license back because I messed up when I was 18 with a DWI. I am now almost 34 years old, and I haven't driven in 8 years. My dream would be to drive again! It's just financially not in the cards right now.

I am also 3.5 years sober! I've worked so hard to be where I am today! I'm very grateful for that. I just am begging at this point for a little help to get ahead. I don't really have much family around me, and it just kills me to even try and do a GoFundMe. But I at least need to try.
