Help My Hardworking Parents Find a New Home After Fire

Hi, my name is Brittany, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dad and stepmom, who are facing an unimaginable situation.

Recently, a fire severely damaged the triplex they were living in, destroying everything stored in the garage — including their vehicles, clothing, furniture, irreplaceable childhood memories, and belongings that had been passed down from my late mother.

Right now, their apartment is uninhabitable, and they must move out immediately. Both my dad and stepmom work hard — my dad, nearing 75 years old, still works part-time, and my stepmom juggles two jobs. Due to the fire, they are unable to work while they prepare to move and find a new place to live.

On their extremely limited fixed income, and with the current economy, it’s almost impossible for them to recover without help. Every little bit helps — whether it’s a donation, sharing their Go Fund Me, or providing information about affordable housing.

This has been difficult to ask, since they have always been the ones help others, never expecting anything in return. I’ve never seen them turn away anyone in need. Now they are the ones who need a helping hand.
