Hello! My name is Brittany Jones.
Hello! I’m embarrassed to make this GoFundMe, but I’ve been suggested to do so numerous times, so I thought I’d give it a try.
I am now 39 weeks pregnant with a beautiful and healthy baby girl, whose name will be Dahlia.
The father was abusive and neglectful, and after he left me out on the street knowing I was pregnant with his child, I came back to Missouri to start a better life for my daughter and me.
I’m being told time after time, when asking for a job, that I’m “too pregnant” and I “need to come back and apply after I have the baby.”
This is putting me in a horrible position where I can’t find work to save my life. It’s extremely frustrating and disheartening when all I want is to provide for my child.
I am sober, reliable, and always try to do my very best in life, but I’m finding myself being discriminated against when trying my absolute hardest to get work.
Not a single company will hire me due to being pregnant, and I’ve been openly told this over 40 times by various companies.
I cannot afford to pay my rent, bills, and I do not even own a vehicle, which has proven to make life that much more challenging.
My electricity was even shut off last week, and I was fortunate enough to have someone help me with that so I can be in my apartment safely.
I don’t have internet or a vehicle, and I don’t want or need fancy things. Just some help from my community.
I have managed to get many things for my daughter together: the crib, clothes, basic necessities, but I still need to get so much for her and I just want to give her the best start possible.
We need:
newborn safe car seat
baby shoes

maternity clothes
Any help at all is appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
