Hello, I am Bristyn's dad. We, as a family, have been doing our best to assist our youngest daughter through this trying time. Now, we are seeking help after multiple people have asked if we had a GoFundMe. The following is her story.

Bristyn Williams has dedicated her life to caring for others. Born and raised in Ashland, she graduated from Ashland High School in 2020 with a perfect 4.0 GPA and 60 college credits already earned. By 2023, she became a Registered Nurse through North Central State College, and just a year later, she graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She now works in the Operating Room at OSU’s Ross Heart Hospital.

In May, Bristyn’s life changed suddenly. While at work, she lost vision in her right eye. Doctors diagnosed her with optic neuritis and a brain lesion, leading to a diagnosis of Stage I Multiple Sclerosis. The severe pain, migraines, light sensitivity, and vision loss have made it impossible for her to work.

Without eligibility for FMLA or short-term disability, Bristyn is now facing mounting medical bills and no income while she focuses on healing and finding the right treatment.

Bristyn has always been there for her patients in their hardest moments. Now, she needs her community’s support. Any contribution—large or small—will help her cover living and medical expenses during this critical time.
