Honor Brigid Missenda's Resilient Spirit

In the face of unimaginable heartache, a community has come together to create a lasting tribute to Brave, Resilient Mighty Brigid Missenda. Brigid, a bright and bubbly kindergartener at Washington Elementary, has been battling Ataxia-Telangiectasia, a rare disease that impacts multiple systems of the body. She has bravely beaten cancer two times in her young life. Recently, her body faced a brutal fight against a fungus in her lungs and she spent months in the ICU battling it. While her Earthly battle has ended, Brigid’s family will keep her legacy alive.

As the Missendas navigate this difficult journey, friends, neighbors, and our Lebo community near and far have joined to support them.
