I never thought I would have to make one of these, but here we are. As some of you know, Brian and our children were involved in a serious car accident on February 18. Thankfully, our children were able to walk away from the accident with scratches and bruises. Unfortunately, Brian did not. Brian took the hit head on and was transported unconscious to the hospital. He spent 8 days in the trauma ICU with a traumatic brain injury, then moved to inpatient rehabilitation for about 3 weeks, and has now been in an assisted living facility since. He has not been home since the accident.
Brian is unable to work, and we are going to have to find another place for him to live because he currently cannot walk and he lives in a townhome. The funds raised will help cover his medical bills, secure a new accessible place for him to live, and support our family’s everyday expenses as we navigate this difficult time. He has an extremely long road to recovery ahead, but his goal is to be able to walk again, live independently, and get back to “normal” life with Trevor and Thea.
We are asking for any support you can offer—whether it’s donating, sharing our fundraiser, or sending words of encouragement. Every bit helps Brian on his long road to recovery and means so much to our family. Please feel free to reach out anytime for updates. Thank you for being here for us.
