Hey everyone! My name is Brian Defferding, and I'm running for Neenah City Council, District 1, for the 2026 Spring Election.

Some background on me:

-I have served three terms as a County Board Supervisor for Winnebago County, in District 6

-I served on both the Planning and Zoning Committee and the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee

-I served on the Wisconsin Counties Association’s Judicial and Public Safety Committee for four years

-I served on the National Association of Counties’ Justice and Public Safety Committee for four years

-I’m a current citizen member of the Safe Streets Initiative, a coordinating council in Winnebago County that oversees all things Public Safety in our county

-Currently serving on the Board of Directors for Reach Counseling (located on Commercial Street) and the Winnebago Conflict Resolution Center

-Spent almost all of my life living in the Fox Cities. Neenah has been my home for nearly 15 years.

I’m a person who is very concerned with the way our city government is heading. We are now facing a 6% property tax increase, as well as an increase in fees. Borrowing has now eclipsed $20 million. Our finances are very far out of range for this shining small city by the Fox River and Lake Winnebago. I want to restore trust, restore our finances, and restore transparency to our city government.

Time for a new era - I sincerely hope to have your vote! With that being said, I work an everyman job at Kwik Trip as my main source of income, so I don't have a lot of spending cash. I'm looking for your financial support for this campaign so I don't overstretch my own finances.
