Our family is going through a heartbreaking time. My brother, Davie (34), passed away suddenly after complaining of chest pains just days earlier. At the hospital they told him, his heart was getting bigger and he should come back after two days, sadly he passed the following day. He left behind his three young sons:
* Brian (10) – thoughtful and gentle, preparing for secondary school. He works hard to improve his English, he is mostly quiet, and although he stutters a little, he communicates well and is eager to learn.
* Bright (7) – curious, energetic, and very talented in both drawing and mathematics.
* Brandon (3) – full of energy and often plays happily by himself. He has delayed speech, though doctors confirmed his hearing is fine. He will be starting school soon, and we hope this will help him begin to speak more clearly.
The boys are now being raised by their grandparents (my parents) in Malawi, who love them dearly, but it is challenging to meet their growing needs. Living in Malawi has becoming expensive and the situation has become more challenging as my father retired and my mother will do so this year.
We are raising €9,000 to support their welfare and education over the next three years, about €3,000 per year. The funds will be used as follows:
* School fees & education (50% – €4,500) - covering school fees, uniforms, books, and essential materials for all three children.
* Food & nutrition (20% – €1,800) – ensuring they have regular, healthy meals.
* Medical care (15% – €1,350) – including general healthcare and support for Brandon’s speech development.
* Clothing (10% – €900) – decent clothing for school and daily life.
* Emergency needs (5% – €450) – unexpected costs that may arise.
In Malawi this amount will go a long way in providing these boys with stability, dignity, and hope.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will directly help Brian, Bright, and Brandon build a brighter future despite this painful loss. Please consider sharing this link with your friends and community spreading the word as that is also a powerful way to support.
Additionally, if you’d like to help in other ways, such as donations of books, school supplies, or advice, please reach out at [email redacted].
On behalf of our family, we are deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity.
Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time.
