Hello, my name is Gavin Kaddatz. I'm seventeen years old, and in the images below are my mother Brenda Kaddatz, me, and my family. On March 7th, she was diagnosed with metastatic malignant melanoma, and since then, she has begun immunotherapy and will soon be starting radiation. My mom has been through a lot in her life; she's been fighting a constant battle with her kidneys since a young age and is currently at high risk of entering stage 4 kidney failure.
My mom has always cared for other people throughout her life. She never had a lot of money, but she always found a way to get us what we needed and still found a way to get us what we wanted. Every year, there were always a lot of presents under our Christmas tree. She's a mother of three and grandmother of three. She took in and has been raising her grandson Javoni since the age of two. She also had a foster daughter named Angela and took in and raised my brother Jake when he was a teenager from his parents who didn't care to be in his life. She drew the blood of hundreds of patients as a phlebotomist and was an autopsy assistant. She has also done volunteer work helping Red Cross in Las Vegas and Jesus Cares in Ramer, Tennessee.
I am asking you all to please help support my mom. She is going to be traveling to UW Madison and back every day, which is a two-hour drive. She needs the money to help with gas and hotels if she doesn't feel like she can go home. If you can't help, I just ask you to share this and please keep my mom in your prayers and show her your support.
