Brandon and Kate are friends of mine who are on a journey to adopt a child. They are a compassionate, caring couple who have a heart for children that do not yet have a place to call home. Through adoption, their desire is to welcome a child into their family and provide them with love and belonging. Brandon and Kate are excited to grow their family through adoption, but the process is costly and has proved challenging. My hope for them is that through this fundraiser, we can rally around them by supporting them in this financial need as they pursue this desire.
While they have not yet been blessed with biological children, they have been privileged to welcome young people, who have needed a safe place, into their home. Through these experiences, they have been blessed to call one of these young men -Clancy- their son. These moments have deepened their desire for adopting a child and growing their family.
They have had this heart longing of adoption for years, and in the last couple of months they have taken steps to make this a reality. There has been a lot of brainstorming on how to raise the funds needed to meet their total goal of $60,000. Some of these ideas are raising a litter of puppies, selling pies, pottery and shirts, and organizing a 5k.
