Kadisha found herself in the Juvenile Detention Center with no hope and very angry. Life had been difficult for her and she believed that nothing good would come of her life and was feeling hopeless. One day Kadisha was told by Brandi Nichole Family Enrichment Center that they had a home for her and that somebody wanted her. She did not believe it, but it was true. Kadisha had her struggles, but she had a family to teach her and help her get on the right path. Her foster family believed in her and she learned to believe in herself. Eventually she reunited with her mother and over a decade later still connected to her foster family. Kadisha has her Master’s Degree in Education and is currently in Vietnam teaching English as a second language with her daughter and husband. Kadisha said, “Without my foster family I never would have made it, and through my foster family I learned what unconditional love means!”
Brandi Nichole Family Enrichment Center has been a lifeline for children in our community since January 2, 2000, providing safe group homes and therapeutic foster care when they need it most. For over two decades, we have served children, families, and our community with dedication and compassion. Without our support, many of these children would be left sleeping on cots in social service agencies, missing out on the stability and care that every child deserves. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to place children in loving, trained foster homes, helping them stay connected to their community and begin the healing process.
Recently, the State announced a 3 percent cut in provider reimbursement per child. This reduction is a significant blow to our operational funding and threatens our ability to maintain the high level of care we provide. The impact is felt not just in our group homes, but also in the foster families who open their hearts and homes to children in need. Essential repairs and ongoing support are now at risk, making it even harder to ensure every child has a safe, nurturing environment.
We are reaching out to our community for help. Your support will go directly toward keeping our doors open, supporting foster families, and making critical repairs in both foster and group homes. There are more children coming into foster care and families needing help than ever before. You can make a huge difference by showing that you care for families and children, letting them know their community is rooting for them to be safe, heal, and be whole. Thank you for standing with us and making hope possible for so many.
