As part of becoming a Bat Mitzvah, I am working on a community service project. My project is inspired by my grandfather’s experiences as a refugee. I am here today as a result of the many blessings he received. I feel it is my responsibility to help refugees who are not as lucky. I am working with Dr. Maggie Sullivan, NP, the Director and Founder of the Oasis clinic at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. Dr. Sullivan describes Oasis as an “immigrant-friendly clinic…for limited English proficiency patients who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness”.  I am raising money to support the Oasis clinic in their important work.
