Hi, my name is Mia Gordon, and when I was 10 years old, I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a chronic pain condition so severe it's been called one of the most painful diseases known to medicine.
For 6 months, I couldn't go to school, walk normally, or do the things I loved. CRPS took over my life. Finding the right treatment wasn't just hard. Many families never even find out programs like the one that helped me exist.
I recovered through Boston Children's PPRC program. That experience changed everything for me, and made me realize how many kids are suffering without access to the same care.
That's why I built BeyondPainCommunity.com, a free resource hub connecting pediatric CRPS patients and families to the programs, specialists, and community they need. But access isn't just about information. Many families face real financial and geographic barriers to getting to top treatment centers.
Your donation will help Boston Children's Hospital continue its essential mission by:
- Funding innovative research to discover new treatments and improve patient care.
- Supporting community programs that promote the health and well-being of local families.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Join me in supporting this vital cause! Thank you for your generosity!
