Our beloved father Bobbie Figiel has been diagnosed with Mixed-Phenotype Acute Leukemia (MPAL) — a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer involving both myeloid and lymphoid blast cells. This life-altering diagnosis has turned Bobbie’s world upside down and requires immediate and intensive treatment.

Bobbie has proudly worked for Nevada Gold Mines for 39 years, dedicating his life to providing for his family and community. As the sole provider for himself and his wife, this unexpected diagnosis has created a significant financial strain on top of the emotional and physical challenges.

He is currently admitted to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Utah, where he is receiving critical care and beginning a long journey of treatment and recovery.
