I'm an Uber driver. When I don't drive, I don't get paid. I've had some unexpected setbacks the last three months: One fare was incontinent—3 days before I could drive again; a fare smeared sticky sauce into the backseat and I'm still trying to get all that up. An emergency appendectomy kept me off the road for a week. Twice I had to go out of town for a few days. My savings were soon depleted. edit: thanks to the generosity of friends, I no longer have a deficit balance in my checking account. I now have $9.62 . Sadly I am still unable to pay the incoming bills for January. I'm driving extra "shifts" but am still struggling. thanks to all who helped. If anyone can spare a few bucks, it would get me over this hump.

I hoped to get caught up and then the snowstorm hit. Bills that are auto-deducted from my checking account were tapping an empty well, resulting in several fees, each one making it harder to recover from.

I am embarrassed bordering on ashamed that I must ask friends for help. Any donation is appreciated. Just as welcome are prayers for continued good weather, good health, and a good car.
