Support Bob Bauer After the House Fire

Hi everyone, Bobby Kuhl here…

Late on Wednesday the 28th, 2026, one of our very closest and most valued friends Bob Bauer, lost the interior of his home to a fire. His beloved house in the woods, his happy, secure spot of solace in life won’t be serviceable for at least a year or more, we are hopeful that the shell of his home is serviceable to professionally rebuild. As Bob is just short of retirement by months, this tragedy means reset, starting over late in life, so this is not going to be an easy year at all!

Bob is an amazing human, very kind, really funny, and always ready to drop what he is doing and come lend a hand to a project, task or event his friends might have happening in their lives.
Bob is also a lifelong, dyed-in-the-wool motorcyclist of considerable talent, an ex LRRS-GP Pro endurance and sprint club racer, a woods rider and track day guy.

While happily there was no loss of life due to the fire, in addition to all livable space being touched by the fire and smoke damage, his motorcycle collection accrued over a lifetime with some very notable items are heavily damaged and most likely won’t be saved. Once a professional clean-up on them has been performed, he will know more in this regard.
As the victim of a total loss house fire my junior year of high school, I can confidently say that while his house can be rebuilt, his possessions and all of the memories that they represent to him can sadly never be physically reclaimed.

If you have ever experienced this kind of radical loss, you know that an event like this just washes one with waves of sorrow, feelings of hopelessness, helplessness and dread of what else the future may offer up, it’s not at all an easy path.

We are starting this Go Fund Me page, to help Bob defray the ancillary costs, i.e. new clothing, personal items, etc. We hope this crowd funding can help him live as comfortably as possible in the interim, and help defray the inevitable insurance companies discounting of his interior structure and personal items as they never want to pay full price and of course just to show him that people care about his welfare and his future.

Please, give what you can, you are doing a very good thing, kindness and charity are the closest things to godly works that any of us humans can achieve.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for whatever you can do for him.
