Give Bob & Beth the Safe, Accessible Home They Deserve
Hi everyone,
My name is Stephanie, and I’m reaching out to ask for help for two people who had a huge impact on my life—Bob and Beth Wilson of Omaha, Nebraska. I had the privilege of working with them in their tile-making workshop starting in 2000, spending nearly seven years as an apprentice under their guidance. The care, creativity, and work ethic they shared with me shaped who I am today.
Bob and Beth are a warm, hardworking couple who live in a converted commercial property they’ve made into a home. But now, they’re facing an unexpected and urgent challenge…
Bob was recently struck by a car while crossing the street, and while he’s thankfully on the road to recovery, the accident has made it incredibly difficult for him to get around—especially when it comes to accessing their main living quarters, which are located up a steep set of stairs.
To make matters even more difficult, the only bathroom in their home is currently located in the basement—completely inaccessible for someone with mobility challenges. Navigating the stairs multiple times a day is not just painful—it’s dangerous.
We’re raising $15,000 to:
• Replace the steep staircase leading to their main living space with a safer solution
• Build a bathroom on the main level, so Bob no longer has to risk injury trying to get downstairs
• Cover materials, labor, and necessary accessibility upgrades to help them live safely and comfortably
Every dollar helps, and all donations will go directly toward giving Bob and Beth the safety, dignity, and peace of mind they deserve in their own home.
If you’re unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this page with your community. Together, we can make a real difference for two people who have always been there for others.
With deep appreciation,
Stephanie Fuhrman
