Support Blue One's Service Journey to Yakutat

Hi! We are Team Blue One! Our team used to serve with AmeriCorps National Civilian Corps in Alaska. We were deployed on October 31st, 2024, working with nonprofits in both Fairbanks and Anchorage for 6 months; we completed work with The Fairbanks Community Food Bank, The Tanana Chiefs Council, The Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness, and Fur Rendezvous. On April 14th, right before beginning our final transition period leading up to our service in Yakutat, Alaska, we were notified that our program was being demobilized. We were sent home immediately with no warning, tearing us away from our purpose to serve, and the family we built together. Even though we are no longer AmeriCorps Members, we are still a group of young people passionate about serving the communities of our nation. Since arriving home, our team has been trying to find a way to finish our task and travel to Yakutat, helping restore and maintain trails, rebuild natural habitats, and teach the community about the environment. We are prepared to volunteer our time and effort, but we don't have the funds to get there! We are requesting your financial support in providing airfare and a living budget for food, gear, etc. Any amount helps!
