Support Black Children with Essential Hair Care

After a volunteer event organizing the donated items at a local children's home/foster care center, I asked the volunteer coordinator what needs weren't getting met. She said hair care for their Black children.

It hit me. When I was organizing the hair care items, none of the donations were well suited for the beautiful curls and coils of the Black children.

As a Black woman, I intimately know the challenges of finding the right products for curls and coils of Black hair. I have traversed the DFW metroplex to the hard-to-reach beauty stores to find the right products. If I'm lucky, I will stumble upon a supermarket in the "right" neighborhood that stocks a bit of what I need.

Black kids in the system likely do not get the chance to use hair products geared towards their special hair care needs.

That's where you and I come in.

Let's make a change in these children's lives!

All donations will be used to purchase Black hair care products.

Moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, styling creams, hair gels, and hair accessories, etc.

The products will be distributed to nonprofits specializing in the care of at-risk kids/kids in the foster care system.
